Dinah Ruch, Esq

Dinah Ruch is a lifelong advocate for education, civic engagement, and equitable access to justice. Raised in a family of teachers and librarians, she began her professional journey as an elementary and junior high school educator before pursuing a legal career dedicated to public service. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University and a Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles.

For more than two decades, Ms. Ruch focused her legal work on providing critical services to low-income communities throughout Los Angeles, helping expand access to legal support for individuals and families in need. Beyond her professional work, she has been an active philanthropist supporting initiatives in biomedical research, youth development, civics education, social studies, and legal aid.

In 2017, she founded Thinking Nation, reflecting her long-standing belief that a healthy democracy depends on informed and engaged citizens. Through her leadership, the organization has advanced innovative approaches to civic literacy and education, combining her passion for teaching, justice, and community stewardship.
