Mary Ann Kliethermes is a nationally recognized leader in medication safety, quality, and pharmacy practice innovation, with experience across clinical care, health system management, and academia. She holds a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Michigan and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science.
She currently serves as Senior Director of Medication Safety and Quality at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, where her work focuses on optimizing medication use, improving patient safety, and integrating pharmacist services into evolving care and payment models. Her leadership has influenced national initiatives in ambulatory care, care transitions, and value-based healthcare delivery.
